Shades of death: When you lose a loved one to Alzheimer’s disease – Sara's Shorts
This podcast is a throwback to May 29, 2019, two days after my mother died — from Alzheimer's disease, if that's considered a cause of death. I called it "shades of death" because of the incremental mini-deaths leading up to the grand finale. All painful. All a great loss. Each one with a finality of its own luring me into the false sense of security that I was done grieving. I never was. And yet with this final shade of death, I knew my mother had gained more than this life can give. God is good.
